The Division of Nursing at Queen Margaret University Edinburgh formed an Honor Society of Nursing as part of the application process to form a Chapter of the Sigma Theta Tau International community of nursing.  Omega Xi Chapter President, Professor Jan Dewing says, “We are immensely proud of this achievement and are looking forward to working with our members to build a strong community of nursing, where we will share information and resources, support Nurse Students and Nurses in practice to develop their learning and with a view to always improve nursing in our communities.

This achievement is especially significant as we are the first ever Chapter to be formed in Scotland and only the third to be formed in the UK and as such there will be a Scottish theme to proceedings”.  Amongst our invited guests are representatives from NHS Lothian, NHS Fife, QNIS and many more.  Our guests will be welcomed by Queen Margaret University of Edinburgh Principal Sir Paul Grice, the Dean of School of Health Sciences, Fiona Coutts and the Omega Xi Chapter Board including Professor Brendan McCormack in his role as Vice President and Professor Jan Dewing in her role as President.
